Adnams 2001 ChĂteau Lynch Bages, Pauillac, 5ème Cru

It was John Lynch, an Irishman, who first settled in Bordeaux in the 1690s and inherited a property near the village of Bages who created and gave his name to the estate. Today it falls into the portfolio of AXA the French insurance giant. This is no bad thing as they are not short of money and can keep vineyards and cellars in prime condition. This is a large estate comprised of some 90 hectares which mostly sit on a gravel ridge, just outside the town of Pauillac, and overlook the Gironde es (Barcode EAN=3760020130947)
